Robert L. "Rob" Gampolo, 49, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Thursday June 2, 2016 in Parkersburg, WV.

He was born February 16, 1967 in Steubenville, Ohio, the only son of Lawrence and Jean (Coen) Gampolo of Mingo Junction, Ohio.

Rob was a truck driver for both Schwerman Trucking and Weir Cove Trucking; and he also served his country in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Candice E. Gampolo of Steubenville; a granddaughter, Gabriella R. Taylor; his girlfriend, Sherry Stone of Parkersburg, WV; and his maternal grandmother, Jean Scott of Liberty, Ohio.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo, on Tuesday June 7th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio.
