Robert "Bobby" McFarland, 48, of Fairbanks, AK, formerly of Mingo Junction, OH passed away Monday February 24, 2025 at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 1, 1976, in Grand Junction, CO. He was preceded in death by his father, John Francis McFarland; his paternal grandparents, John and Mary McFarland; his maternal grandfather, Jerry Vojnic; and an aunt, Sharon McFarland.

Bobby graduated from Indian Creek High School in 1996 and he served his country in the US Army.

Though Bobby faced many challenges in life, he was deeply loved by all those who knew him. His spirit will be missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Surviving are his mother, Charise (Jim) Ragsdale of Arkansas; three sons, Shawn (17), Chris (14) and Avery (7) all of Alaska; a daughter, Josie McFarland (27) of Brilliant, OH; two brothers, Jeremy (Valerie) McFarland and Tim (Jen) McFarland both of Steubenville, OH; his maternal grandmother, Ellen Vojnic of Cottonwood, AZ; an uncle, Ron (Marsha) McFarland of Mingo Junction, OH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
