Robert "Bob" Potts, of Brilliant, a dearly loved husband, father and grandfather, suddenly passed away at the age of 84.

Before moving to Arizona in 1981, after retiring from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he worked for 30 years as a pipefitter, he and his first wife Joan raised their family in Brilliant and he was very active with the youth, being a baseball coach and running the roller skating rink at the community center, they were also very active with the Brilliant United Methodist Church, having served as Sunday School teacher and the Tri-C class.

After the loss of Joan in 2000, he moved back to Brilliant in 2001.

On April 6, 2002 he married Lois Hutchison, and was active with the Brilliant Lions Club and helped with the Jefferson County Christian School Fish Fry.

In following with Bob's wishes there will be no visitation or services.

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave and echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave behind when life is done.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Lois; daughter and son-in-law, Cherilee "Cheri" and Jim "Spooks" McClung of Mingo Junction, Ohio; a grandson, Bruce "BJ" Potts, Jr. and his wife Katie; a granddaughter, Carissa Grove and her husband Andrew; great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Benjamin Potts and Brooks and Beckett Grove, all of Arizona; a sister and brother-in-law, Geri and Ed Wallace of Illinois; many nieces and nephews; and Lois's children, Donald (Diane) Hutchison, Karen (Joseph) Chuckery and Stephanie (Kenneth) Lane and her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed in Bob's name to the Brilliant Presbyterian Church, 200 Main St., Brilliant, Ohio 43913.
