Regina A. (Westling) Patterson, 79, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away peacefully Saturday October 25, 2025 at the home of her daughter Dorothy.

She was born September 8, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late John A. and Anna (Futey) Westling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, George Westling, James Westling, Russell Westling, Douglas Westling, Clifford "Kip" Westling, and Johnny Westling.

Regina worked for 20 years in the service department at M&M Hardware in Steubenville. She shared her love and talent for cooking with many while working at the former DiCarlo's Market in Mingo then at the Mingo Diner. She loved camping and riding ATV's with her family and friends at Mingo Sportsmans Club. She was also a former member of the Mingo Womens Club. Everyone loved her and she touched the lives of all who knew her.

She was a loving and committed wife to Douglas A. Patterson, Sr., for the last 63 years. She had a fierce love for her family which includes four children, Douglas (Emily) Patterson, Jr. of Steubenville, OH, Les (Jackie) Patterson of Wintersville, OH, Dorothy (Dave) Kieffer of Bloomingdale, OH and Tammie (Dave) Lewis of Steubenville, OH; a sister, Carol Cunningham of Wintersville, OH; eleven grandchildren, Carl (Amber) Grigsby, Angel (Randy) Fellows, Matthew (Stephanie) Patterson, Ryan Hollen, Mike (Monica) Hollen, Dakota (Sidney) Patterson, Jimi (Riva) Frye, Alyssa (Jason) West, Jack Patterson, Archer Patterson and Dougie Patterson, III; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Monday from 3-7 p.m. and also on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with her nephew Pastor Bill Westling, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
