Peter L. "Benny" Benvenuti, 59, of Mingo Junction, OH, went to be with the Lord on Friday November 24, 2017 at U.P.M.C Montifiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born August 8, 1958 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Peter A. and Donna Mae (Frey) Benvenuti.

Pete was a retired chef working at both Skippers Haven and The Townhouse. He more recently worked in the Deli at Walmart in Steubenville. Benny had a deep love for the Lord; he was a member of Crossroads Christian Church; the NRA; and the Brilliant Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, shooting his guns, cheering on the Steelers and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Mary (Scott) Benvenuti, whom he married July 27, 1984; a son, Shane (Chrissy) Benvenuti of Columbus; two step-daughters, Teresa Bunting and Christina Bunting and her fiancé Dave Mains, III both of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister, Melissa (Eugene) Ciciarelli of Steubenville, OH; eight grandchildren, Corey Hoover, Steven Miro, Joshua Hoover, Jessica Cox, Chaeli Cooper, Dominic Benvenuti, Nathaniel Benvenuti, Camilla Benvenuti and Leah Lacko; a great-granddaughter, Cassie Benedict-Cox; a niece, Mandy (Cris) Wise; and his beloved dog, Mocha.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, on Monday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m., with funeral services being held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Greco, officiating.
