"Pat" Bruno

Patricia A. Bruno, 85, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Tuesday July 19, 2016, in Catherine's Care Center, Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born June 4, 1931, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a daughter of the late Martin J. and Anna (Waggoner) Barrett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Dan" Bruno; two sons, Thomas A. Bruno and Daniel M. Bruno; three brothers, George, John A. and Martin J. Barrett; and four sisters, Catherine Barrett, Anna Halischak, Bernadette Hennebert and Mary Giles.
Pat started out as the secretary of the former Harmony School in Mingo Junction went on to work for and retire from the Indian Creek School District. While at Indian Creek She started out as a cook, then worked as the secretary to the superintendent and finally retired as the supervisor of the cafeteria system. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force for two years during the Korean War and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Steubenville. Pat had a passion for decorating for Christmas, especially her Christmas villages.
Surviving are a son, Ed "Mike" (Susan) Bruno of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Jodi Bruno of Bethel Park, PA; and four grandchildren, Andy, Benjamin and Byron Bruno and Ashley (Phil) McGuire.
Friends will be received to celebrate Pat's life at St. Mark Lutheran Church on Saturday August 6th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 a.m.. with Reverend David McCloskey, officiating. Burial will be private at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction.
