Patricia "Patt" Menendez, 87, of Brilliant, Ohio passed away Sunday January 31, 2016 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born January 5, 1929 in Glen Dale, WV, a daughter of the late Bill and Lillian (Smith) McGill. In addition her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Menendez in 1991; six brothers; and a great-grandson, Gregory Serafini.

Patt was a homemaker, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers fan. She was a member of the Brilliant Presbyterian Church and also the Dip-n-Dive square dancing club. Patt was an avid bowler and a member of the Womens Bowling Association.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara (John) Serafini of Steubenville, Ohio; two sons, Joe (Dorlis) Menendez of Oro Valley, AZ and Jim (Barb) Menendez of Mingo Junction, Ohio; a sister, Jean (Bill) Hess of Bellaire, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Colflesh and the staff at Trinity West especially the ICU for all the kindness and compassion they gave to Patt.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, where her services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Kenn Sickle, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery in Mingo.
