Pose Brettell

Kenneth “Pose” Brettell, 64, of Mingo Junction, OH passed away Wednesday September 23, 2020 at home.

He was born June 1, 1956 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late John E. “Jack” and Helen J. (Bowman) Brettell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Brettell; and a sister, Kathy Brettell.

Pose retired out of Labor Local 809 and was Presbyterian by Faith. He enjoyed rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is survived by his companion of 37 years, Patty Babel of Mingo Junction, OH; a brother, John E. “Jack” (Cheryl) Brettell of Mingo Junction, OH; four sisters, Judy (Kim) Walker of Brilliant, OH, Toni (Tim) Newberry of Pickerington, OH, Tommie Matello and her companion Paul McClelland of Mingo Junction, OH and Helen Brettell and her companion Dean Richards of Rush Run, OH; several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Layla.

Friends will be received to celebrate Pose’s life for a memorial visitation at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction on Monday from 2-7 p.m.

Masks are required and social distancing guidelines are to be followed.
