Norma J. Yenchochic, 89, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Thursday March 7, 2024 at home.

She was born July 19, 1934 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Elden R. and Florence (Fry) Hope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Yenchochic, Sr. on January 2, 1992; her step-mother, Donna Bell Hope; a grandson, Travis Yenchochic; and her longtime companion, William Stoddart.

Norma was the manager for Alvins Jewelers at the former Treasurer Island in Steubenville, OH and she attended the Mingo First United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son, John Yenchochic, Jr. of Mingo Junction, OH, a daughter, Bonnie Jean (Ronald) Stanley of Castlewood, VA; a sister, Martha Rasko of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Chad (Danielle) Yenchochic, Amy, Vicky and Brian Stanley; and several great-grandchildren, including Ryann, Gage, Brik and Benjamin Yenchochic.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. the time of her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Vaughn Foster, Sr., officiating. Private interment at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction.
