Neal "Nubs" Kieffer, III, 42, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Thursday February 8, 2018 at Sienna Skilled Care Nursing Home, surrounded by family and friends, after a 19 ½ year battle with a brain injury.

He was born July 15, 1975 in Steubenville, OH. He was a graduate of Mingo High School, with a certificate in Welding from JVS. Neal was an avid outdoors man, who loved canoeing and camping.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Neal and Ona Kieffer, Sr. and his maternal grandparents, Edward and Carmella Schulte.

Surviving are his parents, Neal and Janet (Schulte) Kieffer, Jr.; a sister, Jodie Kieffer, all of Mingo Junction, OH; two nephews, Jesse Crim and George Crim, III, and his only niece, Mary Crim.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with funeral services being held at 5:00 p.m., with Pastor Herb Fletcher, officiating.
