Mary Jane Pergi, 84, of Stuart, FL, formerly of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Monday December 21, 2015 at Harper Hospice House in Stuart, FL.

She was born July 25, 1931 in Brilliant, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Clinger) Melching. In addition her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Frank A. Pergi, III on August 9, 2014; two brothers, Albert and Floyd Melching; and five sisters, Helen Melching, Wilma Young, Virginia Bailey, Gladys Shaffer and Burlene Moore.

Mary Jane was the owner and operator of the former Isalys in Mingo Junction for fourteen years. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church where she was in the Catholic Womens Club. Mary Jane had many friends; she loved to cook; also had a love for animals. She was loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her husband, Frank A. Pergi, Jr. of Stuart, FL, whom she married on August 19, 1950; three children, Chris (Ken) Palmer of Stuart, FL, Lisa (John) Buttari of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ and Tom (Debbie) Nuss of Springfield, Ohio; four grandchildren, Lisa Pergi of Las Vegas, NV, Aliza Buttari and John Buttari of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ and Brennan Humes of Steubenville, OH.

Friends will be received on Saturday February 27th at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her Memorial Mass with Liturgy at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, as celebrant. Private entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville.
