Marsha K. “Maw” Shute, 74, of Jewett, OH, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026, at home.

She was born July 8, 1952, in Martins Ferry, OH, a daughter of the late Floyd E. and Donna Lou (Fetty) Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward Lee Taylor, Roger Taylor, Frank Taylor and an infant James Edward Taylor; and a sister, Phyllis Jean Fields.

Marsha worked in private duty home healthcare for many years. She enjoyed being at home and spending time with her family during the holidays. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandkids.

Surviving are her husband, Daniel L. Shute, whom she married on March 13, 1970; two children, Pamela Taylor of Dillonvale, OH and Daniel L. (Carey) Shute of Brilliant, OH; two sisters, Patricia Herron of Brilliant, OH and Liz (Bill) Cook of Brilliant, OH; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In following with Marsha’s wishes she was cremated and there will be no services.

Arrangements were entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Home, Brilliant.
