Marilyn Ann (Kerr) Johnson of Steubenville, OH, formerly of Brilliant OH, passed peacefully with her family at her bedside at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio on Wednesday September 28, 2016.

She was born in Salem, Ohio to Raymond "Babe" Kerr and Nellie McMillan Kerr.  She graduated from Salem City Hospital School of Nursing, worked at several area hospitals and retired from the Jefferson County Health Department.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant granddaughter Kimberly Gayle Johnson.  Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband Edmond Gayle Johnson, three sons, Jeffrey (Tammy) Johnson of Houston, TX, Todd (Doda) Johnson of Rockville, MD, Brent (Stephanie) Johnson of Columbus, OH and daughter Pamela (Allen) Austin of Cincinnati, OH.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren:  Michelle Day, Melissa Kingsbury, Amanda Stapleton, Abigayle Austin, Edmond Johnson, Kerri Johnson, Kyle Johnson and Emma Johnson and four great-grandchildren:  Preston, Hailey, Madeline and Parker.

Marilyn was a member of Brilliant United Presbyterian Church.  She was a Quester in the De-He-Wa-Mis #479 chapter, holding the office of President multiple times and she held various offices in the Ohio State Questers including State President.  She was also a member of the Salem Historical Society, Old Fort Steuben, Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and various community organizations in Brilliant.

Friends will be received on Friday September 30th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Kenn Sickle, officiating.  Private burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Salem, OH.
