Margaret Mayle Poe, 72, of Dennison, OH, formerly of New Alexandria, OH passed away suddenly Monday January 9, 2017 in her home.

She was born May 13, 1944 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Seymour and Frances L. (Fore) Edwards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Terry and David Edwards.

Margaret was retired from the former St. Johns Hospital in Steubenville where she was a unit clerk for 30 years. She was very proud of her three children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Michael Poe, whom she married May 23, 2003; a son, David (Laura) Mayle of Pittsburgh, PA, two daughters, Jodie (Doug) Maple of Steubenville, OH and Carrie (Joe) Miller of Bloomingdale, OH; two sisters, Wendy (Robert) Carmichael of Cambridge, OH and Carrie McCourt of Adena, OH; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Marco) Houpe, Dougie Maple, Zach (Kylie) Maple, Joey Miller and Annie Mayle; and six great-grandchildren, Trinity and Maciah Houpe, Jacob and Liam Miller and Gage and Bexley Maple.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, where her services will be held on Friday at Noon with Marco Houpe, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
