"Lou" Romestan

Louis A. "Lou" Romestan, 79, of Brilliant, Ohio passed away Wednesday June 15, 2016 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.
He was born March 7, 1937 in Bulger, PA, a son of the late Louis L. Romestan and Goldie M. (Chome) Romestan Lombardi. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh Romestan; and a sister, Margie Pulice.
Lou retired from the Maintenance Department at Trinity Medical Center West where he worked for many years. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, serving at the end of the Korean Conflict and the beginning of Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Gehrke) Romestan, whom he married on September 20, 1963; three children, Linda "Lea" (Ken) Feist of Richmond, OH, Loni Romestan of Brilliant and Louis A. (Patricia) Romestan, II of Brilliant; two sisters, Phyllis (Otha) Hoberek of Avella, PA and Jenny (George) Russell of McDonald, PA; four grandchildren, J. Feist, Zac, Rachel and Michael Romestan; a great-grandson, Tre` Feist-Winland; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, Ohio on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until the time of his funeral services at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. John D. Ater, officiating.
There will be military honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans squad at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m.
