Obituary
Louis N. "Geno" DeLeonardis, 95, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Thursday January 21, 2021 at the Country Club Manor in Steubenville, OH.
He was born February 22, 1925 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Attilio and Christine (Appignani) DeLeonardis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Johanna R. "JoAnn" (Lonetto) DeLeonardis on February 3, 2008; a brother, Ralph DeLeonardis; and a sister, Erma Boggia.
Geno retired in 1986 from the Locomotive Shop at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He served his country during W.W. II as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church; the American Legion Post 33 in Steubenville; The Mingo Knights of Columbus Council 4361, and the Mingo Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are two sons, David (Sharon) DeLeonardis and Robert (Joan) DeLeonardis, both of Sacramento, CA; and two grandchildren, Julian and Olivia DeLeonardis.
In following with Geno's request there will be no services. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction, OH.
