Evelynlee Aleksiejczyk, 88, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away peacefully Thursday August 13, 2020 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 5, 1932 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Leo and Myrtle (Thompson) Winters.

Lee graduated from the Ohio Valley School of Nursing and was a retired registered nurse at the former Ohio Valley Hospital. She also worked for three years at the Jefferson County Mental Health Center. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and a former Eucharist Minister at the church. Lee was also a member of the Community of Gods Love.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Frank J. Aleksiejczyk, whom she married on July 16, 1953; two daughters, Francene (Jack) Kavanaugh of Clemmons, NC, and Stephanie (Mark) Olson of Canal Winchester, OH; a son, Frank E. (Mindy) Aleksiejczyk of Steubenville, OH; two brothers, Charles A. (Sandy) Winters of Follansbee, WV and David (Margie) Winters of Pickerington, OH; a sister, Sue (Ray) Balhetchet of Steubenville, OH; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass on Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville.

Masks are required and please observe social distancing. The family is asking that you not linger at the funeral home after you pay your respects.
