Kathryn M. "Kathy" Winland, 74, of Brilliant, OH passed away peacefully Thursday September 22, 2022 at home.

She was born February 8, 1948 in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late H.O. "Mack" and Grace (Gassnola) Calain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Phillips

Kathy loved kids and she worked in child development at CAC Head Start and she was also a parent aide at Jefferson County Childrens' Services. She was Catholic by Faith; a huge Elvis fan; and she especially loved playing with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, David L. Winland, whom she married on June 8, 1977; a son, Tom (Kayla) Winland of Brilliant, OH; three grandchildren, Marriah Ashby, Thomas Winland and Austin Winland; and a brother, Michael (Linda) Calain of Elkins, WV.

In following with her wishes she was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
