Karen D. "Kay" "Gabby" Richardson, 78, of Brilliant, OH, passed away peacefully Monday May 8, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born May 25, 1944 in Zoar, OH, daughter of the late Walter E. "Walt" and Matilda Mae "Tille" (Jones) Kendle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard "Rich" on January 25, 2023, a granddaughter, Molly; four brothers, Roger, Richard, Kenneth and Melvin Kendle; and a sister, Gwen Moore.

Karen was a homemaker and Protestant by Faith. She was a former member of the Brilliant Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Karen enjoyed reading, playing cards, camping, puzzles and going to the casino. She always loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Earl, whom she married April 1,1961; two sons, Doug (Diane) of Rayland, OH and Bob (Suzy) of Richwood, OH; daughter-in-law, Patti, of Powell, OH; brother; Ronald (Elizabeth) Kendle of Richmond, OH; sister, D. "Jane" Teramana of Brilliant, OH; nine grandchildren, Douglas, Erika (Brian), Tyler (Preslie), Steven, Danielle, Michael (Taylor), Matthew, Megan and Madeline; and nine great-grandchildren, Jordan and Allison, Everly, Brooks and Lonnie, Amaya, Harper, Lucas (and one on the way) and Mila.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Yanok, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
