June L. "Mimmi" Owen, 95, of Brilliant, OH, passed away peacefully Thursday October 26, 2023 at the Country Club Manor in Steubenville, OH.

She was born May 11, 1928 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Richard E. and Mary "Ethel" (Humphrey) Brettell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William S. "Poppy" Owen on July 8, 2012; a daughter, Vicki Koepp; two grandchildren, Melissa and Owen James Mitchell; three brothers, Charles, Thomas and Donald Brettell; and a sister, Betty Brettell.

June was a caretaker for 33 years at the Wells Township Community Center and she was a member of the Brilliant Christian Church. June was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and loved cats, especially her loving cat Molly.

Surviving are a son, Richard (LuAnn) Owen of Steubenville, OH; a daughter, Debbie Petrozzi of Brilliant, OH; a son-in-law, Dale Koepp of Amherst, OH; three grandchildren, Jennifer Petrozzi, Courtney (Shawn) Gunter and Jeramey (Nicole) Jarvis; and four great-grandchildren, Zoe, Gabby, Olivia and Cameron.

In following with Junes wishes private graveside services will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction at the convenience of the family.
