John "Kevin" Kocher, 63, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Thursday December 10, 2020 peacefully at home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born June 22, 1957 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Harry H. and Mildred A. (Parks) Kocher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Kocher.

Kevin was a bus driver for 30 years, working for both Steubenville City Schools and Steel Valley Transit. He attended Kolmont Community Church. Kevin enjoyed NASCAR and loved spending time with his family, especially fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Kris (Poplowski) Kocher, whom he married July 8, 1994; three daughters, Siarra N. Donahue of Wintersville, OH, Jessica L. Kocher of Steubenville, OH and Stephanie (Leon, Sr.) Levy of Mingo Junction, OH; two brothers, Donald Kocher of Toronto, OH and Robert "Bobby" (Theresa) Kocher of Steubenville, OH; three sisters, Patricia (Bob) Richardson of Richmond, OH, Mary Ann (Carl) Gooding of East Liverpool, OH and Jamie (John) Kinter of Toronto, OH; and six grandchildren, Hayden, Arralee, Derek, Skyler, Leon, Jr. and Logan.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction on Saturday from 12-3 and from 5:00 p.m. until the time of his funeral service at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Herb Fletcher, officiating.

Masks are required and please follow social distancing guidelines.
