Jo Ann (Cox) Rusnak, 74, of Mingo Junction, left us peacefully on Wednesday November 27, 2024 with family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered for her generosity and willingness to help those in need, even strangers.
She was born on November 4, 1950, in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late John and Eula (Westfall) Cox. On June 23, 1970, she wed David Rusnak, sharing 34 years of marriage and two children. She retired from Trinity Medical Center West, where she established many lifelong friendships.
Jo Ann had a passion for crafting and was known for sharing her many beautiful creations with friends and family. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, and visiting The Great Smoky Mountains.
In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband David Rusnak; and two brothers, Ralph Cox and Roger Cox.
Surviving are her two children, Michelle (Craig) Singleton and Justin (Denise) Rusnak; five grandchildren, Cory Mathews, D.J. (Lauren) Rusnak, Cameron Rusnak, Nicholas (Sara) Singleton and Shannon (Patrick) Barron; three great-grandchildren, Trace Rusnak, Lyra Singleton and Shay Barron; two brothers, Ken (Betsy) Cox and Ron (Melanie) Cox; a sister-in-law Cathy Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
To honor Jo Ann's wishes, she will be cremated with no services observed.
Memorial contributions may be directed in Jo Ann's memory to Valley Hospice, Inc., 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
