Jesse O. "Bud" Bonar, 73, of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Wednesday November 30, 2016 at home.

He was born October 13, 1943 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Jesse A. and Betty I. (Young) Bonar. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Bonar; and three sisters, Elizabeth Robinson, Sharon K. Bonar and Shirley M. Kelley.

Bud was retired from International Mill Service where he worked for Operating Engineers Local #132. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a member of the Brilliant American Legion Post #573.

Surviving are his wife, Judy (Robinson) Bonar, whom he married on September 5, 1969; two sons, Jason Bonar of Riddles Run, OH and Adam (Amelia) Bonar of Mingo Junction, OH; two brothers, Franklin E. (Liz) Bonar of Riddles Run, OH and Rick Bonar of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister, Joyce Jackson of Mingo Junction, OH; and three grandchildren, Brittany, Landon and Makenzie.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, on Friday December 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral services at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Jackson, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Brilliant American Legion Post #573.
