Jeff "Goathead" Martin, 56, of Rayland, Ohio passed away Sunday May 20, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born April 26, 1962 in Steubenville, Ohio to James S. and the late Myra (Gaydosh) Martin of Brilliant, OH.

Jeff retired in February 2017 where he was the senior coal yard operator at the AEP Cardinal Plant in Brilliant, OH being vice president of Local 478 for many years. He was a member of Friends Church in Mt. Pleasant, OH; the Indian Club in Tiltonsville, OH; and the Lansing Sportsman Club.

Jeff was a staunch supporter of the second amendment and would not feel complete without seeing the American and POW flags flying outside his home. He loved scuba diving and spending time with his family, especially fishing, paddling around the lake and campfires with his grandkids, nieces and nephew.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Rhonda (Weaver) Martin, whom he married February 14, 2011; two daughters, Emily (David) Trimble of Middlebourne and Brittnie (John Greene) Smith of Columbus,  two brothers, Scott Martin of Brilliant, OH and David "Bubba" (Kelly) Martin of Steubenville, OH; a sister, Lisa Martin of Brilliant, OH; two grandsons, Grainger and Gunner Trimble; his mother and father-in-law, Karen and Ron Weaver of Rayland, OH; four nieces, Stacey Maxwell, Heidi (Ryan) Lemasters, Hannah Martin, and Ellen Hanood; a nephew, Dylan (Casey) Czoka; and three great-nieces. His fur children Bubba, Junior, EttaBelle, Knucklehead, Cinder and Harley had a special place in his heart.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on Sunday June 3rd at the Tiltonsville Indian Club from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
