Jeanne Anne "Jean" Mannarino, 89, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Monday June 23, 2025 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.
She was born January 18, 1936, in Uhrichsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Della May (Harris) Henry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Vincent J. Mannarino on March 16, 2018; four brothers, Lawrence, George, Fred and Bill Henry; and four sisters, Virginia Massarelli, Grace Hodkinson, Pat Borden and Mary DeLavo.
Before her marriage to Vince, Jean worked at McCorys 5&10, Jack and Jill Dry Cleaners, Quesik and Haines, Sears Candy Counter and Penny's. After she married Vince, she was a homemaker raising her children and taking care of her family. She was a den mother for the Boy Scouts, Vice President of the Athletic Club at the former Mingo High School, and the founder of both the Forever Friends and also the couples card club. Jean enjoyed reading, working on jigsaw puzzles, ceramics and crocheting. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Jean always believed in angels and was blessed by her home health aide, Tonya DeGarmo with her love and care.
She is survived by two children, Francis (Patti) Mannarino of Mingo Junction, OH and Vanessa (Jake) Harrison of Allison Park, PA; four grandsons, Colton (Brianna) Mannarino, Brandon (Jessica) Pellick, Hunter Harrison and Chase Harrison, who called her Aboo; four great-grandchildren, Brielle and Breena Pellick and Jackson and Josie Mannarino; and 32 nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to celebrate her life at Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Saturday August 2nd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with her memorial service at Noon with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, officiating. Private interment at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jean's memory to the charity of the donors choice.
