Janet Leigh (Schulte) Kieffer, 69, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Sunday September 11, 2022.

She was born September 28, 1952 in Follansbee, WV, a daughter of the late Edward and Carmella (Coffens) Schulte, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Neal "Nubs" Kieffer, III; and a brother, William "Willy" Schulte.

Janet was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She spent a significant amount of time traveling, camping at her cabin in Tyler, WV, gardening cooking amazing breakfasts, reading and doing puzzles. Her sidekick was her beloved dog Bandit, who enjoyed riding on the side by side with Janet. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved hosting dinners, party planning, and panning for gold. She was always there to lend a helping hand and offer the best advice.

Surviving are her best friend and husband, William "Neal" Kieffer, Jr., whom she married November 22, 1974; a daughter, Jodie Kieffer of Mingo Junction, OH; two sisters, Barbara Gill of Colliers, WV and Joanna (John) Paul of Mingo Junction, OH; two brothers, Edward (Pam) Schulte of Colliers, WV and Joe Schulte of Follansbee, WV; and three grandchildren, Jesse Crim, Mary Crim and George Crim, III.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Glover, officiating.
