James R. See, Sr., 74, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Friday June 9, 2017 at Trinity West in the E.R..

He was born Dec. 3, 1942 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Brown and Geraldine (Dye) See.

Jim was a retired truck driver working at the former Satralloy until it closed; he also served his country in the U.S. Navy. Jim enjoyed fishing and camping at Austin Lake; playing euchre; and he was the vice president of the renters association at Rivers Landing in Brilliant.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie (Behnke) See, whom he married on Dec. 3, 1966; six children, Jack (Renee) Vance of Milwaukee, WI, Bill (Julie) Vance of Scott Depot, WV, Troy (Desiree) Vance of Florida, James R. (Dawn) See, Jr. of Lorain, OH, Sara (Bob) Early of Parma, OH, and John Charles See of Berea, OH; two brothers, Gary W. See, Sr. of Brilliant, OH and Richard (Sandy) See of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister, Patty Snider of Wintersville, OH; fourteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In following with Jim's wishes there will be no services.

Arrangements were entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant.
