"Jim" Hyndman
May 10, 1934 – December 31, 2024
James E. "Jim" Hyndman, 90, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Tuesday December 31, 2024 at the Green Meadows Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Louisville, OH.
He was born May 10, 1934, in Brilliant, OH a son of the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Waugh) Hyndman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Bud" Hyndman; a half-sister, Ruth Carson; and a great-nephew, Mitchell Ramsey.
Jim retired in January 1993 from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services in Columbus where he was a computer programmer. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Jim was a member of the New Alexandria Methodist Church; the Liberty Grange in New Alexandria, OH, the Pomona Grange of Jefferson County and a former member of the Jacksonville Beach Jr Chamber of Commerce in the 60's.
Surviving are his sister, Mary Catherine (the late Paul) Ramsey of Louisville, OH; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday at the Wheeler Funeral Home 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, from 10:00 a.m. until time of his funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with his nephew William Ramsey, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
