Helen M. Moran, 96, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Wednesday November 8, 2023 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.

She was born March 17, 1927 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Giuseppe "Joe" and Rose (Fanella) Sciascia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Edward "Moon" Moran, Sr. on January 12, 2020; two sisters, Mary Vandine and Josephine Bellanca; and a brother, Carl Sciascia.

Helen was a homemaker and a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Herbert (Diana) Moran, Jr. of Steubenville, OH and David (Patricia) Moran of Mingo Junction, OH; three grandchildren, Melissa (Dr. Abdullah) Kalla, Jennifer (Shannon) Starr and Eric (Crissie) Moran; seven great-grandchildren, Gregory (Miranda) Moray, Niko Moray, Austin Starr, Ethan Starr, Grady Moran, Danya Kalla and Leena Hall; and six great-great-grandchildren, Melania, Maryn, Avan, Iya, AJ, and Kylo.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Monday November 13th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, officiating. Private burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
