Gwendolyn K. "Gwen" Moore, 72, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Tuesday June 23, 2020 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

She was born July 30, 1947 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Walter E. "Walt" and Matilda M. "Tillie" Kendle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years and 8 months, Lloyd D. Moore, whom passed away October 21, 2018; and three brothers, Richard, Roger and Kenneth Kendle.

Gwen was a homemaker and worked at the former Mr. Wiggs Department Store in Steubenville, OH. She was member of Kolmont Community Church and attended Sunday School faithfully. In her younger years she enjoyed going to dances and listening to country music. Gwen was an avid bingo player; enjoyed traveling. She was said to be the best baker around, especially her chocolate chip cookies. She liked watching football on TV, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Surviving are a son, Lloyd Allan Moore of Brilliant, OH; two brothers, Melvin Kendle of Dillonvale, OH and Ronald (Elizabeth) Kendle of Richmond, OH; and two sisters, Drusilla "Jane" Teramana and Karen (Earl) Richardson, both of Brilliant, OH.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and also on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Herb Fletcher and Evangelist Jack Ernest, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
