Grace Lee Evans, 75, of Richmond, OH, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, with her loving family by her side at Select Specialty Hospital at Weirton Medical Center.

She was born September 6, 1950, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Thomas Bowman, Sr. and Virginia (McDaniel) Bower. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Carl Bower; a son, Justin Evans; and three siblings, Thomas Bowman, Jr., Sandy Bowman, and Linda Bowman.

Grace was a loving and caring woman who devoted her life to her family. She was a mother who lovingly raised her three boys and created a home filled with warmth, comfort, and love. She especially cherished spending time cooking with her grandchildren, making memories that will be treasured forever. Grace also worked as an elder caregiver for many people throughout the valley, compassionately caring for others as she did her own family. She was Catholic by faith.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph R. Evans, whom she married December 27, 1970; two sons, Josef Evans of Richmond, OH, and Jason (Donna) Evans of Marion, OH; three grandchildren, Camren Taylor and her fiancé Matt Hanck, Casey Taylor and his companion Kierra Shaver, and Kelsey (Noah) Kelder; and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Grace's life will be announced at a later date.
