Geraldine A. "Geri" Welch, 76, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away suddenly Sunday March 18, 2018 in the emergency room at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.

She was born June 27, 1941 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Leo and Mamie (Sciarrino) George. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sam George.

Geri retired from Lowes in Steubenville where she worked at the service desk. She was the first class to graduate from Weirton Madonna in 1959 and was Catholic by Faith. Geri enjoyed cooking, gardening and decorating the inside and outside of her home.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Edward Welch, whom she married on April 29, 1961; two sons, Brian Welch of Mingo Junction, OH and Craig Welch of Piedmont, SC; two sisters, Dora Snyder of Riverside, CA and Rose Marie (Lary) Arnett of Weirton, WV; four step-grandchildren, James, David, Erika and Ashlee;  two sister-in-law's, Carol Howard and Rita Welch both of Mingo Junction, OH; a brother-in-law, Robert (Judy) Welch of Mingo Junction, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

In following with Geri's wishes funeral services were held privately.
