George J. Palcic, 88, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Friday June 30, 2017 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

He was born March 29, 1929 in Benwood, WV, a son of the late George M. and Stella L. (Truskowski) Palcic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Palcic, Sr.; and a niece, Diane Hague.

George retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in 1980, where he was a Laborer. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving are a nephew, John F. (Melissa) Palcic, Jr. of Mingo Junction, OH; a niece, Fran (Rodney) Fannon of Pasadena, TX; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Walter Heinz, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
