Eleanor M. Connell, 76, of Brilliant, Ohio passed away Friday April 1, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Wheeling, WV.

She was born September 15, 1939 in Wheeling, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth (Fitzsimmons) Jack and Andy Jack; her husband, Clyde Raymond "Ray" Connell, Jr.; two sons, David A. Connell and Lawrence Raymond Connell; a sister, Helen D. "Debbie" Herron; a granddaughter, Alexandria Nadine Connell; and a great-grandson, Alex Cole Stewart.

Eleanor was a homemaker and a member of various organizations in the area. She was a very active member of the Brilliant First United Presbyterian Church, and wore many hats including, Deacon, Elder, Christian education committee and bible study.

Surviving are a son, Thomas R. (Karen) Connell of Moundsville, WV; two daughters, Lynne Stewart and her fiancé Luke Holden of Wellsburg, WV and Laurie Sue (Harold) Brautigam of Bradford, PA; David's companion, Tammy Scott of Brilliant, Ohio; two sisters, Jackie Downing of Pittsburgh, PA and Sarah M. "Peggy" Powell of Wonder Lake, IL; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Rogers of Largo, FL; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received to celebrate Eleanor's life on Saturday April 9th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral services at 12:00 Noon at the Brilliant Presbyterian Church.  Private burial at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Brilliant Presbyterian Church, 200 Main St., Brilliant, Ohio 43913.
