Edward F. Melcher
Edward F. Melcher, 64, of Spartanburg, SC, formerly of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away suddenly Friday April 3, 2015 from a massive heart attack.
He was born March 15, 1951 in Steubenville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Melcher and his step-father, Robert A. Juresko.
Ed was a retired inspector at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. After moving to Spartanburg he worked as a mail carrier at Spartanburg Community College. He loved to listen to his jazz music and write poems; and he also loved his family and friends.
It breaks our hearts to know our loved one went home unexpectedly. He will be missed and loved until we meet again.
Surviving are his mother, Rose Marie (LeMaster) Juresko of Steubenville, Ohio; a sister, Linda (Patrick) McPherson of Steubenville, Ohio; his step-mother, Nancy Melcher of Renton, Washington; two half-sisters, Karen (Robin) Melcher of Renton, Washington and Mary Helen (Paul) Charbonneau of Spokane, Washington; two step-brothers, Bobby Joe (Debbie) Juresko of Steubenville, Ohio and John 'Jay' (Lynn) Juresko of Mingo Junction, Ohio; two nieces, Molly Juresko and Betsy (Ryan) Salyer; and Ed's companion, Judy Greer of Spartanburg, SC.
Friends may gather to celebrate Ed's life at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, Ohio on Saturday April 25th from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
