Edith A. Strohmeyer, 85, of Steubenville, OH, formerly of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Wednesday April 24, 2024 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.

She was born September 27, 1938 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Clara R. (Lash) Tomko and Andrew Sauer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Strohmeyer; three sons, Andrew S., David M., and Joseph B. Strohmeyer; and her step-father, Michael Tomko.

Edith was a homemaker, a member of Finley Church, and enjoyed watching soap operas.

Surviving are a daughter, Laurie Strohmeyer of Weirton, WV; a sister, Florence Zack of Mingo Junction, OH; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Monday from 4-8 p.m. On Tuesday there will be viewing at Finey Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Greg Kasler, officiating. Private inurnment at Oakland Cemetery, Mingo.
