Donald E. "Donnie" Rea, Jr., 56 of Spotsylvania, VA, passed away Thursday February 20, 2020 at home.
He was born July 15, 1963 in Steubenville, Ohio. Donnie graduated from Buckeye North High School in 1981. After high school Donnie enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country for over 20 years before retiring with the rank Technical Sergeant in 2002. He then began working as an Event Productions Technician for Whitehouse Communications contracting with TWD retiring in November 2019.
Donnie was a former member of the Ohio DeMolay in Steubenville. He enjoyed bowling in a league in his younger years and was an avid NASCAR and Ohio State fan. Donnie was a huge Cleveland Browns Fan and was a member of the Browns Backers Club; he was a member of the Brad Paisley Fan Club; and was a faithful attendee of Jamboree in the Hills.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Rea, Sr. and his step-father, John Repka.
Surviving are his mother, Carol (Mossor) Kensicki and her husband Joseph Kensicki of Bedford, OH; three brothers, Brian C. (Linda) Rea of Riner, VA, James D. (Heidi) Rea of Lacey, WA and Gregory P. (Teresa) Rea of Mingo Junction, OH; his step-mom, Joanne Rea of Steubenville, OH; seven nieces and nephews, Kyle, Bryan, Zackary, Tyler, Amber and Austin Rea and Marissa (Matt) Jaskiewicz; and many aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received to celebrate Donnie's life at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH on Saturday February 29th from 2:00 p.m. until the time of his memorial service at 4:00 p.m. with Kenny Mossor, officiating. There will be Military Honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
