Deloris A. Quinn, 82, of Brilliant, OH, passed away peacefully Sunday January 28, 2024 at Lancia Villa Vista in Steubenville, OH.
She was born July 9, 1941 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Frank and Freda (King) Fish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Ann Mayle.
Deloris retired from Buckeye Local School District where she was a special needs aide. She was a member of the Brilliant Christian Church where she was the choir director for over 45 years and she held numerous offices at the church. Deloris graduated from Brilliant High School in 1959; she was a former councilwoman for the village of Brilliant; a member of the Civic Choral Society of Steubenville; and she was also a member of several card clubs. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, James C. Quinn, whom she married June 16, 1962; a daughter, Janis (Rich) Ferguson of St. Clairsville, OH; a son, Christopher (Sheri) Quinn of Stow, OH; a son-in-law, Pat Mayle of Brilliant, OH; a sister-in-law, Patti Quinn of Steubenville, OH; eight grandchildren, Lexie (Sabrina) Mayle, Jacob Mayle, Amanda (Antone) Lollini, Andrew Ferguson, Austin (Amanda) Ferguson, Connor Quinn, Cameron Quinn and Evan Quinn; and three great-granddaughters, Emilia and Natalie Lollini and Lina Ferguson.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and also on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with John Walters and Pastor Bill Fulton, officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, OH.
