Dean Barnhart, Sr., 80, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Saturday May 21, 2016 at the Acuity Specialty Hospital in Weirton, WV.

He was born January 23, 1936 in Fly, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Yonley; wife, Margaret "Peggy" (Smuck) Barnhart; a son, Dean Barnhart, Jr.; and a brother, Jimmy Yonley.

Dean retired  in 1998 from Brandt Motor Co in Steubenville where he was a parts manager. He served his country in the U.S. Marines; was a member of the P.A.C. in Steubenville; Weirton Moose Lodge #688; P & A Club in Steubenville;  the V.F.W. Post 80 in Steubenville; and the Weirton Elks Lodge #1801.

Surviving are a daughter, Michele (Tony) Giampolo; and a grandson, Anthony Giampolo all of Mingo Junction.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of his funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. John D. Ater, officiating. Private inurnment at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
