Darrell Clayton Barr, 75, of Welch, WV, formerly of Brilliant, OH; passed away suddenly at his home on February 6, 2016; son of the late Chester Clayton Barr.

Darrell was a retired self-employed painter, and a very talented artist, who loved painting wildlife and nature pictures. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Darrell served our country in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal.

Surviving are his brother, Kevin (Joyce) Barr and a sister, Marlene McDonald, both of Brilliant OH; sons, Lance Barr (and friend, Theresa Anderson) of Steubenville OH, Clayton Barr of Welch, WV, and Ben Barr of Canton OH; daughters, Chris Barr Battista of Kent, OH, and Casey Dalgo; along with several grandchildren.

The Brilliant American Legion Post 573 will hold a veterans memorial service at the Brilliant United Methodist Church, 525 LaBelle Street in Brilliant on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 1 p.m. Pastor Robert Carson officiating.
