Darlene J. Roe, 76, of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Sunday April 24, 2016 at Weirton Medical Center.

She was born July 30, 1939 in Round Bottom, Ohio, a daughter of the late Burlen and Freda (Walters) Bates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence G. Roe, Sr. in 2003.

Darlene was a homemaker and a member of the Rosemont Chapel where she was a former trustee and treasurer. She was also a member of the Mingo Senior Citizens Club; the Bunco Club for over 40 years; and she also participated in bible study at the Georges Run Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Lawrence G. (Cheryl) Roe, Jr. and Mark (Debbie) Roe; two daughters, Brenda (Tony) Muscari and Penny Dennis; a sister, Burlene Hoagland, all of Brilliant, Ohio; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, where her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sonny Shoe, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
