Daniel P. "Dan" "Wacky" Escobedo, Sr., 68, of Wintersville, OH, formerly of Goodyear, AZ, passed away Friday September 20, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born July 6, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA, a son of the late Rosalio "Leo" and Hortensia (Amaya) Escobedo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Buckley and a brother, Michael Escobedo.
Dan retired from Checker Auto Parts where he started working as an engine mechanic then he worked in the corporate office for 28 years. He was Catholic by Faith and attended the Riddles Run House of Prayer. Dan was a member of the NRA (National Riffle Association) and he also was involved with the Apache Tribe. He enjoyed fishing, camping, shooting guns with his boys, traveling and he loved his family, they were everything to him.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Donna (Westfall) Escobedo, three children, Drea (Patrick) Lee of Phoenix, AZ, Nicole (Eric) Rowe of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel Escobedo, Jr. of Wintersville, OH; two siblings, Johnny Escobedo and Christina (Benjamin) Chico of Apple Valley, CA; eight grandchildren, Kori Villigan, Marissa Cardenas, Dominique Lee, Jasmine Lee, Jeremy (Maritza) Bledsoe, Marsela Garza, Landyn Rowe and Mason Rowe; and four great-grandchildren, Kayde and Athena Villigan and Michael and Renee Bledsoe.
Friends will be received to celebrate Dans life at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Avenue, Mingo Junction, OH on Saturday October 5th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his memorial service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Jackson, officiating.
