Daisy J. Beall, 81, of Weirton, WV, formerly of Brilliant, OH, passed away Monday March 4, 2019 at Weirton Medical Center Acuity Specialty Hospital.
She was born August 21, 1937 in Long Island, NY, a daughter of the late David M. and Theresa (Buynak) McNevin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Harker; two brothers, David McNevin and Francis Gress; a granddaughter, Laura Marie Miller; a grandson, Floyd Russell Dillon Beall; and her former husband, Floyd L. Beall.
Daisy was a homemaker, when she was younger, she was a waitress and restaurant assistant for many businesses. She served her country in the U.S. Air Force and was Catholic by Faith. She was a former member of the Life Care Alliance; North Jaycees of Columbus where she took Tae Kwon Do and the Weirton Moose Lodge. She enjoyed bingo, baking, cooking, dancing and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Floyd (Pam) Beall of Weirton, WV and Walter "Bub" Beall of Brilliant, OH; two daughters, Nancy Belle Beall of Brilliant, OH and Janie Marie (Albert) Miller of Mingo Junction, OH; two brothers, Vincent McNevin of Home, PA; William Gress of Niles, OH; five sisters, Virginia White of Howland, OH and Patricia Frank, Rose Gress, Shirley Gress and Helen (John) Cramer of Niles, OH; 10 grandchildren, Heather Pheasant, Dr. Mary (Catherine) Toale, Michelle (Mark) Lamp, Brooke (Donnie) Showalter, Robert Beall, Travis (Elizabeth) Brown, Laurie (Matt Davis) Carothers, Dalton Beall, Vincent Beall, Lanson Beall; twenty eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and also on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her services at 11:00 am with Fr. Tony Thurston, officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Rayland, OH with Military Honors by the Brilliant American Legion Post 573. Everyone is invited to the luncheon that will follow at the Brilliant American Legion at 1:00 p.m.
