Craig S. Welch, 56, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Thursday August 15, 2019 in his home after a courageous ten month battle with kidney and bone cancer.

He was born June 12, 1963 in Weirton, WV and was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine A. "Geri" (George) Welch on March 18, 2018.

Craig graduated from Mingo High School in 1981 and earned his Bachelors Degree from Ohio University in 1985. Craig was a restaurant manager down in the southern states and along the east coast. He most recently worked as the Food Service Director at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. He enjoyed traveling, golf, college football and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Surviving are his father, Edward Welch of Mingo Junction, OH; a brother, Brian Welch of Mingo Junction, OH; his companion and caregiver, Jennifer Hayes of Wintersville, OH; two step-daughters, Erika Stanton and Ashlee Hayes; two step-sons, James (Nancy) Chafin and David Carter; four step-grandchildren, Nicholas Stanton, Brandon, Ethan and Lydia Chafin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank Charity Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Craig.
