Cheryl M. Irvin, 68, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday October 31, 2023 in her home.

She was born July 14, 1955 in Canton, OH, a daughter of the late George E. and Mabel (Thomas) Pearce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Irvin, Sr. on March 3, 2015; her birth mother, Marylou Queen; a sister, Kathleen Vincent; and two brothers, George William Pearce and infant John Edward Pearce.

Cheryl was the owner of The Sweet Stop Bakery in Toronto, OH and she also worked in the office for Dr. Macias. She was a member of the Labelle View Church of Christ in Steubenville and the American Legion Auxiliary in Mingo. She enjoyed having breakfast at Mingo Diner and was a very proud grandma.

Surviving are her son, George R. (Moriah) Irvin, Jr. of Steubenville, OH; her grandson, George William Irvin; a special niece and business partner, Kristen (Robert) Christian of Steubenville, OH; and two nephews, CJ (Sara) Diequez and Eddie Diequez.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with her son George R. Irvin, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction.
