Cheryl "Darlene" Harbert, 77, of Mingo Junction, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Friday June 2. 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 1, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Raymond and Frances (Devore) O'Dell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul K. Harbert, Sr.; two brothers, Curtis and Robert O'Dell; and her furry companion, Ollie.

Darlene graduated from Brilliant High School in 1963 and worked for 20 years at the former Esquire Dry Cleaners in Steubenville, OH. She was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed genealogy and history and was an amateur Civil War historian. Darlene also loved to garden and take care of her flowers.

Surviving are two sons, Paul K. (Johanna) Harbert, Jr. of Steubenville, OH and Raymond (Jane) Harbert of Mingo Junction, OH; two daughters, Ann Harbert and Crystal Harbert both of Mingo Junction, OH; a brother, Charles "Marty" O'Dell of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister, Karen Sweitzer of Brilliant, OH; and two grandsons, Benjamin and Nicholas Harbert.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Raymond Cooper, officiating.
