Charles W. "Babe" McEndree, 86, of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Sienna Skilled Nursing Home in Wintersville, Ohio.

He was born January 30, 1930 in Smithfield, Ohio, the son of the late Vernon and Opal (Mayle) McEndree. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora "Jean" (McGee) McEndree; a brother, Vernon McEndree; and three sisters, Goldie Kemp, Erla Benzo and Linda Burch.

Babe was a millwright at the 80 inch and the Bessemer at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Babe was a member of the Rosemont Chapel and the Brilliant American Legion Post #573 where he was a former officer, and he was also a member of the 40&8 of Jefferson County.

Surviving are a son, Charles "Darrell" McEndree of Brilliant, Ohio; three daughters, Lenora "Darlene" (Larry) Cassidy of Washington, PA, Cheryl (Mark) Cline of Richwood, Ohio and Jill (John) Walters of Brilliant, Ohio; a brother, Michael McEndree of Harrisburg, PA; a sister, Ann Cummins of Cecil, PA; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Friday from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, where services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles "Sonny" Shoe and Dr. Marc R. Tinstman, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Brilliant American Legion Post #573.

There will be legion services on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
