Catherine A. Walters, 86, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Monday August 31, 2020 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

She was born August 10, 1934 in Mingo Junction, OH, a daughter of the late Loretto and Clara (Recchio) DiNofrio Carlucci. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Walters on July 31, 1991; a daughter, Katherine E. Bracone on July 4, 2004; her step-father, Vincenzo "Jimmy" Carlucci, a brother, Henry DiNofrio; and three sisters, Sue Luggano, Antoinette Barbarini and Angeline Prezioso.

Catherine was a retired cashier at Hills Elementary School in Mingo Junction. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Catholic Womens Club.  She was a member of the rosary group and bunco club. She really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and never missed an occasion with them or her other family members.

Surviving are her daughter; Debbie (Ron) Mannarino of Mingo Junction, OH; four grandsons, Joseph (Brittney) Bracone, Aaron (Natalie) Bracone, Dr. Ronald Mannarino and Jake (Julie) Mannarino; and five great-grandchildren, Luke, Elaine, Eric, Stella and Gianni.

Friends will be received at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 204 St. Clair Ave., Mingo Junction on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and also on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant. Internment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Junction.

Masks are required and please observe social distancing.

There will be a vigil on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed in Catherine's memory to St. Agnes Catholic Church.
