Carol J. "Judy" Achhammer, 84, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Thursday March 7, 2024 at Sunnyslope Care Center in Bowerston, OH

She was born April 29, 1939 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Stewart and Annie (Forsythe) Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul Achhammer on Feb. 17, 2011; a brother, Ralph (Normalee) Walker; and a great-nephew, Jonathan Herrick.

Judy was a seamstress and worked for a Bridal Shop in Steubenville and she also worked at Vitamin World. She enjoyed gardening, reading books and quilting.

Surviving are a nephew, Gary Walker of Richmond, OH; a niece, Kim (Brian) Leas of Mingo Junction, OH; and a great-great-nephew, Jonathan Herrick, Jr.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Monday from 5:00 p.m. the time of her funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. John D. Ater, officiating. Private interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
