Bryan W. Kovach, Sr., 62, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Sunday February 15, 2026 at home.

He was born November 14, 1963, in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Steven D. and Josephine S. "Josie" (Rudnicki) Kovach, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Kovach, Jr.

Bryan began his working life in service to others with the Brilliant Volunteer Fire Department, where he proudly served as an EMT. That calling stayed with him throughout his life, most notably during his 25 years with the City of Steubenville as a fireman and member of Steubenville Firefighters Local 228. He took great pride in his career and the community he served, retiring in 2018. During a large part of his firefighting career, he also held a job at Welsh Jaguar enterprises, working on cars, tirelessly working to make sure his two sons never went without.

After retirement, Bryan wasn't one to sit still and worked for a short time at the Steubenville Walmart. He loved building model trains, cars, and airplanes, spending countless hours tinkering on vehicles in his garage, and going for car rides just to enjoy the road.

Surviving are two sons, Bryan (Nikki) Kovach, Jr. of Wintersville, OH and Mark Kovach and his wife Shekela Boone of New Braunfels, TX; a brother, Douglas (Mirashan) Kovach of Coppers Cove, Tx; and five grandchildren, Peyton Kovach, Kaylee Kovach, Elijah Maewether, Emanuel Delancy, and Elizabeth Boone.

In following with Bryan's wishes there will be no services. Private burial at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction.
